FiskCo Knives
Good To Go
Trail Knife #1

These will be the first offerings from FiskCo. in 2007
Blade length approx 3 1/2 inches long
Blade steel is 1070 and oil quenched
Teflon type coating on the blades to resist rust and to provide a miniumum side drag to help with the cutting ability.
Rubber handles with a 90 hardness. This provides excellent grip, while keeping it as soft as I dare go.
These knives are made for outdoor use.
FiskCo Knives is equipage for the Outdoors.
Though it is little or never thought of by many people your knife is
probably the single most important piece of equipment you will take
with you when you go. What else can make you a shelter, cut up and
serve your food and do most of the things required to help get
you back home. I have used my extensive outdoors background to
understand what is needed in the field. I have been in some binds
before in the bush and a good knife came in mighty handy at times.
These knives are designed for use for hunters, hikers, and extreme
sports people who demand extreme performance in whatever outdoor
activity they find themselves in. It makes no difference if you are fly
fishing in the Northwest, hiking in the mountains or hunting in the
bush there will be a FiskCo knife designed for its requirements.
FiskCo
Knives have been carried and tested in Wilderness areas, jungles and in
Urban areas by civilian and Military people all over the world.
Weighing in at approx 3 ounces they do not help tire you out after
being in the field all day yet the knife will work very well.
We are not going to bombard you with insane claims nor other ideas that
would detract you. We are simply offering you a good quality product
that we use ourselves. My ole daddy used to say, "Buy the highest
quality you can and it will cost you less because you only buy it
once". FiskCo knives quality is based on that.
These have a one piece non slip rubber handle and coated blades.
We have
been developing our coating process with a coating that actually helps
with the cutting. The coating also helps prevent rust.
Our
smaller Trail knives will be different
blade patterns using the same style handle but that is designed for
different usages. This way you can have several different blade designs
that will preform different tasks with the same handle design that you
are used to. We plan at this time of only producing one
larger bowie pattern.
The blades will be made of traditional 1070 high carbon steel and will be oil
quenched. This will allow the knife to hold a good edge while keeping
it tough and easy to sharpen.
FiskCo Sheath Belts
We also offer an outdoor belt. My first time to use this belt was
years ago when one was given to me by an old Australian Outback
Rancher. This belt is a fit all that would run probably a 42 inch waist
down to Zero size. This 1 1/2 inch wide belt is made of black
Nylon webbing and is excellent to carry in the field. In extreme
conditions it can be used to tie saplings together to make a shelter,
it can be used to pull things with or to tie off items. The Ranchers
would whip this belt out to tie the legs of a calf together or
temporarily hold a fence gate together, lash your bycyle down or
anything that might be needed in the outdoors. I have used my FiskCo
belt for years in the shop and in wilderness hiking trips. This is an
excellent belt to leave your knife sheath belted to at all times.. I
leave a belt on my pistol holster so there is never a wasted time
looking up a belt of taking the time to undo my own belt then the time
to thread it and get me going. Or, leave your knife sheath on one so
you can hit the door anytime. These belts run only $10.00.
